Our first Christmas abroad. Our first Christmas away from both our families. Our first hot Christmas. Its become a season of firsts, so we thought we’d add another with our first trip to Cambodia!

We’ve been making the most of our week off work: We took a grueling 12hr bus to Siem Reap where we explored Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples, of which there are too many to mention here! We watched the sunrise over Angkor Wat, a big item on my bucketlist.

We’ve now headed south, to the glorious paradise island of Koh Rong Samloem, where we watched the sunrise from the beach, had a BBQ for lunch and spent the day relaxing. It’s been a happy week of adventuring and celebrating Christmas in an alternative way!

As its been a bit to hot here for Christmas jumpers (in 30+ Celsius, we’d rather not) we’ve had to mix it up with some santa hats and reindeer antlers!

To all who celebrate, Merry Christmas – we hope you have enjoyed family time and plenty of turkey and trimmings. To everyone we didn’t get to speak with, we apologise, the internet here is pretty sparse and slow when you do manage to connect (but I think we could survive for another couple of days). Hope you like our silly Christmas photos from our Cambodian adventure – Enjoy!

Love D + F
